A bit about me; I am one of the 23 ‘Outdoor-Edders’ on this trip, love being outdoors, so much so I have undertaken studies in Outdoor Education at Federation University. This trip is a culmination of 4 years of study and I am excited to see how such an Urban environment utilises Outdoor Education, in contrast with Australian Outdoor Education, especially in relation to self, others and nature connections. This international trip is a highlight to expand my outdoor education knowledge and experience. Let the learning begin!

Hello Internet. My name is Matt O'Shea. I am a 4th Year Physical Education/Outdoor Education student. I started my journey to where I am today in a Bachelor degree studying Arts. Suffice to say, it wasn't my cup of tea. I deferred and headed over to NorthEast America and went to Camp Chipinaw where I found the answers to the question: What will I do with my life? I was a Adventure instructor at camp, doing high ropes, low ropes, flying fox and climbing wall. 3 years later and three more USA trips working with age groups 8-16, I found my way to Fed Uni in the double degree.
